![]() Now, against all odds of their rejection, Ma has succeeded and I sometimes wonder who is laughing now. Ma was laughed at by his circle of friends when he told them his vision of Alibaba. One person that I love to reference is Jack Ma, the billionaire and CEO of Alibaba. There are plenty of people just like you that have been laughed at, ridiculed, or ignored by friends and family because of their business idea. They may not believe in doing things that exist outside of their comfort zone, because honestly if they did, they would be doing it right now. Yes, I know it’s frustrating, especially when it comes from friends and family that we respect, love, and admire, but at the end of the day, we have to remember that their opinions and biases derive from the fact that their own belief systems and goals are vastly different from your own. #thetruthhurtsĮvery entrepreneur or aspiring entrepreneur has likely experienced this at one point in their life: they share a new idea with their family and friends, only to have it shut down or ignored within the blink of an idea. Sorry to be so blunt, but it’s the truth. ![]() For some of those people, they live an average life so they want you to do the same. And for the ones that do want to see you succeed, they think that they know what’s best for you when they really don’t. Believe it or not, everybody that you have in your circle is not for you. Too often when this happens, we blab about it to the whole world and our original ideas and motivation becomes affected by what others have to say. ![]() Weezy said it best, “Real G’s move in silence like lasagna.”įor many of us, we have been striked by the entrepreneur spirit and often we get an idea to start a new business or project.
